Pilar del Castillo Vera (born 31 July 1952 in Nador, Morocco) is a Member of the European Parliament from Spain.
Minister of Education, Culture and Sport from 2000 to 2004, she was elected to the national parliament at the 2004 General Election representing Granada Province but resigned in July 2004 when she was elected to the European Parliament in the European elections of 2004 for the first time.
She is a member of the Partido Popular (People's Party) which is in turn a member of the European People's Party.
She is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), substitute for the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, a member of the Delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China and a substitute for the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union (including Libya)
